"Tulsa's Kris Kringle" profiled in Tulsa People

santa_tulsa_people-201312.jpegSanta David Bates is featured in the "Odd Jobs" column in the current (December 2013) edition of Tulsa People magazine, on p. 16. The issue is available, free of charge, at restaurants and other retailers around the city.

In the story by writer Megan Gay, Santa David tells how Halloween and a visit to Philbrook Museum of Art to hear his grandson sing led him into the business of being Santa, talks about the typical course of the Santa season, and the importance of Mrs. Claus to his success as a Santa.

2013 is Santa's ninth year at Philbrook's Festival of Trees. He will be available for photos this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, November 29 through December 1, the following Saturday and Sunday, December 7 & 8, and Saturday, December 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day.
